New Jersey’s Sneaker Room store will continue its charity collaboration with Nike Basketball and Kyrie Irving this month on the Brooklyn star’s seventh signature sneaker.
Designed around a splicing theme of the four elements of matter (earth, wind, fire and ice) as well as honoring the late mothers of Irving and Sneaker Room owner Suraj Kaufman, the Sneaker Room x Nike Kyrie 7 “Mom” includes two mismatched colorways. Earth and wind are represented through a green and yellow colorway, while fire and ice serve as inspiration for a blue and orange iteration. All shoes feature Sneaker Room and “Mom” branding on the lace tips, heart-shaped detailing on the Swooshes and graphics on the heels.
1,996 pairs of green/yellow colorways were produced, a number chosen to signify the passing of Elizabeth Irving, while blue/orange was produced in a run of 525 to honor Kaufman’s mother, Ellen. The green/yellow retails for $175, while the more limited blue/orange variation is priced at $250. As always, 100% of sales proceeds will benefit charity.
Both Sneaker Room x Nike Kyrie 7 “Mom” colorways release Thursday, January 20 at 10 a.m. exclusively from snkrroom.com.
