Kevin Durant’s first full season with the Brooklyn Nets encountered a few minor hurdles on the injury and COVID protocol fronts, but his presence on and off the court has heavily influenced a winning culture for the contending team. It’s the final or bust of the Eastern Conference superteam, and if KD returns to the championship scene, he’ll likely do so in his latest signature shoe – the Nike KD 14. Although the images haven’t been disclosed yet, we can probably expect a cushioning package that includes at least one full-length Zoom Air strobe. It could also feature a double stacked zoom in the forefoot, one of the winning features of the KD 13.
Currently, Foot Locker is quoting an April 17th release date for a black/red colorway of the KD 14, but we’re expecting energetic glow styles in typical Nike fashion. @wavegod_thelegend recently posted a photo that could be the KD 14 shoe in a launch colorway, revealing a midfoot strap (the first since the Nike KD 7) with a cage-like midsole setup similar to the Air Presto. Additional photos provided by @chriscolgan. For now, stay tuned for an official announcement as it will likely arrive soon.
In other Nike Basketball news, the LeBron 18 Multicolor is confirmed for release on April 10th.
